MEET THE GARDENER

Hi, I’m Jess!

Give me a cup of coffee and time to wander the garden, and I’m happy. What started with a container of herbs outside my back door grew into starting plants from seed, growing fruits and vegetables, and eventually dreaming up a kitchen garden for my family. I wanted my kids to experience the joy of watching something grow from seed to harvest, and to have fresh ingredients just outside the door (my contribution to dinner since my husband is the real chef).

That same joy is what inspired me to create Marigold Gardening. My hope is to help people discover just how fun and rewarding it can be to grow food for your kitchen table. And hey, even if all you get is one tomato or that broccoli head never forms, there’s always next season! The garden can be a pretty magical place if you let it.
